What is Emergency Management?
-Emergency management is the managerial function charged with creating the framework within which communities reduce vulnerability to hazards and cope with disasters.
This is achieved through 4 main functions: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery
County Emergency Management?
The Department of Emergency Management handles and coordinates emergency response actions taken within the County. This department handles disaster relief in the event of flooding, tornado, or other natural disasters. The Department of Emergency Management also studies and takes necessary precautions to prevent unnecessary damages by attending conventions about emergency support and relief.
